Yukon Protective Services has issued an evacuation order for Old Crow and the surrounding region
OLD CROW – Yukon Protective Services have placed an evacuation order for the community of Old Crow and the surrounding area
The Government of Yukon is supporting the Vuntut Gwitchin Government’s evacuation order for Old Crow. This order is due to forecasted weather and potential wildfire activity.
Yukoners in Old Crow or the surrounding area are being told to leave the area and contact Emergency Support Services for where to go and any other information.
Residents are also to turn off their gas and electrical appliances and close all windows and doors while gathering their family, pets, and critical items like wallets, cash, medicine, and keys.
