WHITEHORSE, YT – The Whitehorse General Hospital is replacing their outpatient X-ray machine, one of two within the hospital, and they have made some temporary changes to their outpatient X-Ray service as a result.
From Monday, January 20th, until Sunday, March 2nd, walk-in X-ray services will be unavailable at Whitehorse General, and outpatient X-Rays will be conducted by appointment only for urgent and time-sensitive needs. The Hospital has advised those with urgent needs work with their healthcare provider to book an appointment.
Those with current X-Ray requisitions have been advised to visit the Outpatient X-Ray Service before Friday, January 17th.
MRIs, CTs, Ultrasounds, and Mammography scans are unaffected, and these services will continue as normal.
