WHITEHORSE, YT – The nomination period for the 2024 Whitehorse Municipal Election has officially closed as of noon today.
5 Candidates are vying for the Mayorship, while 18 have joined the race for a Council seat.

Any Canadian citizen who is at least 18-years-old on Election Day is eligible to vote, provided they have resided in Whitehorse for at least 1-year prior to October 17th.
Voter registration status can be confirmed online by using the City’s Online Registration Portal, or by submitting a completed Registration Form (PDF) to the Manager of Legislative Services at Whitehorse City Hall.
A valid Photo ID confirming your residential address is required to register, or another official document like a utility bill that confirms your name and address.
