WHITEHORSE, YT – The Yukon Government has released an update on the current condition of Minister of Environment Nils Clarke, following a serious two-vehicle collision on August 2nd that had also claimed the life of Deputy Minster of Environment Michael Prochazka.
Premier Ranj Pillai has confirmed that Minister Clarke had been transported to a hospital in Vancouver, BC, where he currently remains.
The Yukon Government says Minister Clarke will likely require some time to heal, but he is expected to make a full recovery.
In the meantime, Minister Richard Mostyn will assume the role of acting Minister of Highways and Public Works, while Minister John Streicker will assume the role of acting Minister of Environment until Minister Clarke is ready to return to work.
