WHITEHORSE – New para ramps are going to be installed over the next month on 4th Avenue in Whitehorse
In an effort to advance accessibility in the Wilderness City, 9 para ramps are being installed along a main road.
The ramps are being put along almost every intersection of 4th Avenue between Jeckell Street, and Elliott Street.
Work started yesterday and is planned to be completed by September 29th
These ramps will allow those using walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, and with limited mobility to move freely in the neighbourhood.
Please use caution when in the area of work zones, and follow all detours and construction signage.
