Whitehorse, YT – Two men are facing multiple charges after Whitehorse RCMP responded to reports of a firearm being fired in the downtown area early Monday morning.
Officers arrested 53-year-old Raymond John Hartling and 38-year-old Shane Schinkel. Police seized a handgun, ammunition, cash and a significant quantity of crack cocaine.
Hartling is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, drug trafficking and several firearms offenses including discharging a prohibited firearm.
Schinkel faces charges including carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm.
