Whitehorse, YT – Team Yukon is back at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with skip Bayly Scoffin leading a revamped squad.
Scoffin is joined by a new lineup that includes Raelyn Helston as vice-skip, Kerry Foster moving to second and Bailey Horte stepping in as lead. Kim Tuor, last year’s lead, will serve as the alternate, with Kevin Patterson continuing as coach.
Scoffin, the younger sister of Brier-bound Thomas Scoffin, finished 1-7 at the 2024 Scotties, earning her lone win in an 11-4 victory over New Brunswick.
She brings experience including multiple U21 nationals, Canada Winter Games and a Canadian Colleges Athletic Association championship appearance with SAIT.
Foster, competing in her fourth consecutive Scotties, has previously played with Team Hailey Birnie and competed at U21 nationals and the Canada Winter Games. Helston, a former Alberta U18 silver medalist, also brings national U21 experience, including a third-place finish in 2022. Tuor is making her fifth Scotties appearance.
Team Scoffin secured their Yukon title with a 3-1 series victory over Team Patty Wallingham, rebounding from an opening loss to claim three straight wins at the Whitehorse Curling Club.
Scotties Tournament of Hearts takes place in Thunder Bay, Ontario and runs from February 14th to 23rd.
