Update: Whitehorse RCMP says that at approximately 3:23 p.m. they responded to a motor vehicle collision involving one vehicle that struck two children on bicycles at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Heron Drive. The children were transported to Whitehorse General Hospital.
RCMP continues to investigate and state that drug or alcohol impairment is not a factor in the collision.
Whitehorse, YT – As of 7:40 p.m. yesterday, Hamilton Boulevard is open to traffic in both directions amid a motor vehicle collision investigation.
At 4 p.m. on January 14th, Yukon RCMP stated that the road was closed between McIntyre Drive and Falcon Drive. Southbound traffic was diverted, with a recommended detour via Robert Service Way to access the Copper Ridge and Granger areas.
Police now saw normal traffic flow has resumed.
