Whitehorse, YT – Unofficial results from the Whitehorse municipal election show Kirk Cameron as the new mayor of Whitehorse.
Elected councillors are Dan Boyd, Lenore Morris, Paolo Gallina, Anne Middler, Jenny Hamilton and Eileen Melnychuk.
Results are preliminary with the ballot count still needing to be confirmed. Official results of the 2024 Whitehorse Municipal Election are expected in the coming days.
Cameron has served as a Whitehorse city councillor since 2011 and has two decades of experience working in public service. Cameron says his bid for mayor was built on sustainable development and fiscal responsibility.
Dan Bushnell, of the Together Whitehorse slate, was voters’ second choice for mayor.
