WHITEHORSE, YT – A landside was reported at Victoria Gold’s Eagle Gold Mine this morning, June 24th.
Officials from the Yukon’s Department of Energy, Mines and Resources have confirmed a failure occurred in the mine’s heap leach pile, resulting in a slide.
Victoria Gold has confirmed to the Yukon Government that no injuries were reported at the mine site.
Work at the site has halted as an investigation into what happened gets underway.
