WHITEHORSE, YT – The Whitehorse RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating two missing residents of Haines Junction, 36-year-old Alexander Williams and 24-year-old Shyann Williams.
The pair were last seen in Whitehorse at around 3:00am Saturday, May 11th . They may be driving a blue 2001 Pontiac Grand Am with Yukon plates reading: JVM 53. The vehicle has a broken window on the rear passenger side, which is covered up with tape.
Alexander Williams is described as a 36 year old First Nations male, about 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a grey sweater.
Shyann Williams is described as a 24 year old First Nations female, about 5 foot 5 inches and 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She has two lip piercings on the left side, a tattoo on her left arm, and was last seen wearing a green hoodie.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alexander and Shyann Williams has been asked to contact the Whitehorse RCMP at 867 667 5551.
Update: Whitehorse RCMP have confirmed that they have found both Alexander Williams and Shyann Williams deceased inside their vehicle following a report of a vehicle collision on Shwatka Lake Road in the early morning hours on May 16th.
