Riders on the route five bus will notice a faster route into downtown Whitehorse
WHITEHORSE – Whitehorse Transit changes its route five line to return to Robert Service Way.
Beginning July 25, 2023, Copper Ridge Express and Lobird will resume using Robert Service Way.
Due to landslides along Robert Service Way, the route was redirected onto the Alaska Highway to maintain timely service. With the escarpment showing evidence of sustained stability and the route again open, the City of Whitehorse Transit Services will resume using Robert Service Way to approach and exit the city core.
This will increase passenger timeliness as well as the entire network’s on-time performance.
